My daughter has progressed so much in the short time she has been attending this school. She is always bringing home school projects and crafts. They defiinitely keep the kids busy. Went to a couple PTO meetings and am very impressed with how motivated the principal is. Sounds like there is going to be a lot of interesting changes and improvements, and I am happy that my daughter will get to be a part of this school.
Interlochen Elementary is a very good school. I have a 12 year old and 3 10 year old boys and this school has done a great job in making sure my children and others don't fall through the cracks. While Mr. Scott was not a very good principal he is no longer there. They have Read 180 that helps children excell at reading while keeping it entertaining with computers! They have a great program in the morning called Mileage Club which promotes physical fitness. They attend to the needs of children at all learning levels.
Interlochen Elementary School is a great school. I have a child that has gone to the school since he was in the Ready fours class with Mrs. Hilden. All the teachers there are wonderful and caring. I now get to experience more of Interlochen School because I have a child who just started Kindergarten this year. Looking forward to another 5 years or so at the school.
I was not impressed with this school at all. My children attended for a couple of years and within that time their grades/scores dropped, they were bored and they no longer cared about studying. The teachers held my children back, were critical and insulting. In my children s new school, they recognized their potential and placed them in excelled classes. The principal at Interlochen Mr. Scott, cared more about being in the paper or on TV then being there for the children and parents. I would never recommend this school to anyone.
it is a great school with great staff
I think two teachers at Interlochen School are wonderful.. My son had Mrs. McGee-Cullen last year in fifth grade and she was wonderful. He had some issues going on and she did an excellent job of helping him through it..Also, both my kids had Ms. Sanor..She's so sweet and caring...A mother at Interlochen Schools
I think that Interlochen Elementary School is AWESOME! Especially Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Gatzke. She did such a great job with both of her classes. My oldest daughter went to a parochial school in Kentwood and didn't learn how to read until 1st grade. My youngest daughter learned how to read in Kindergarten with Mrs. Gatzke. The teachers are very friendly and go out of their way to make parents feel comfortable.
