Bertha Robinson School

A beautiful school in a beautiful setting! Has a very good principal and parents who are proud of their school. For an elementary school, it can't be beat in the Jackson, Michigan area. Some great teachers teach there, too.

I love this school, I went there myself when I was a kid. My daughter had a good K and 1st grade experience, but this year was not so good. She had a poor teacher with no communication. It was chaos. Our complaints fell upon deaf ears as the principle defended the teacher's actions. Also, it is a struggle to visit your child's classroom. They will hold you in the lobby unless you have an appointment to speak with the teacher, even on event days such as field day and class trips.

They should better inform us parents about field trips, fundraisers and other stuff like that other than that the teachers are nice and the principal listens to your concerns. I would also like to know if my child has been out of control the day that it happens not a month later at parent/teacher conferences.

I think this is a wonderful school. The teachers are great! My kids enjoy going to school.

I wish that they would give us parents a better notice of school events and fundraisers. Just sending the stuff home isn't enough warning. I wish that they would send something home to inform us better about the events and fundraisers at least two to three days before the event or fundraiser, other than that it seems to be like a good school.
