I went to East Jackson Middle School, it wasn't exactly the best of times for me there. I myself didn't exactly prosper from there, but other students did do well. I remember when they built the brand new gymnasium on the side, it was really nice, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this school is closed down now. It's really sad, they were doing a really good job.
The staff and administration are caring and very well educated. They put the needs of the students first, and always are friendly to students, guest teachers, and other support staff.
East Jackson Middle School is awesome. Everyone is so involved in your child's learning experience. The band is known by most other schools as exceptional. The choir gets the top ratings in the competitions, too. There are very nice extra-curricular activities. The school is very inclined to each student and their needs. If you are looking for a school, definately consider East Jackson.
