The teachers are great here but if your kid has a disability they don't have enough resources to help them. They don't have a special ed department, they don't bus and be ready to fork out money every month for one thing or another!
This school does a tremendous job with children. The teachers are all young, committed, carring, energetic, and moral. They will come in early or stay late to make sure that your child is getting the help that they need. They are totally committed to helping children learn things like integrity, responsibility, respect, and positivitity. This school is better than a private school. Go Paragon!
Teachers (I've experienced) are great, but I think that the administration should start following the morals that they teach the students.
I liked the school overall. My child had good teachers but there were some disappointments. (1) The class ratio in Kindergarten is 25:1 (2) My child is above average and I am not convinced she was properly challenged -- while the teacher is great the ratio of students to teacher has to be overwhelming. (3) The school instituted a new grading system but rather than adequately explaining it (even after an evening of explanation) backed down as soon as parents challenged it. It makes the administration look spineless. (4) I addressed my concerns with the principal about safety issues and parental notification in the event of emergency and was poo pooed. (5) I addressed my concerns with the principal about discontinuing foreign language for 1-4th graders. There are fundraisers for everything there and without even We are considering a new school for the fall with foreign language for 1st graders.
i think this is really great school.i have two step-daughter that go to this school and i think its great.
They do not individualize as they promise and the teacher screams at my kid does not have a clue about handling children
I really love this school. My son started learning spanish in first grade, and math is excellent. All of my friends kids attend other schools such as michigan center and others. When I hear how they are doing and how little teacher involvement ther is, I'm and thankful we have such a wonderful school such as Paragon. The moral focus is great and the students strive to do their best at all times. As far as after school activites go, they could do more. But there is always boy and girl scouts. I would not even consider sending my kids anywhere else. The only thing I worry about is where to send them to high school at. I would prefer if they had their own after school day care, but I'm sure more improvements will come in time.
Im a student and i love the school.I like the way they help everyone become friends, and try to help every student when needed.I've made so many new friends.I love my teachers their all kind and the kinda techer u want to have for ure kids.If u get in a fight with another student they take care of it.They have the two that got in a fight use team work together, like bilding a bench together.Like when they they did that for two of my friends they came back as friends as if nothing had happend.Thats why i like this school.I think ure kids/teens would love it here.I know i love it here. And every student is plesent and kind.'ve been here science third grade and almost done with this school, but i want ure kids to have the same wonderful expirence as i have had.Come here and have louds of memerys for u!
Wonderful school because of the staff and parental involvement
The teachers at Paragon Charter Academy have supported my child and my family for many years. I would choose no other school for my children.
