I am a parent of a Jonesville Elementary and Jonesville Middle School student. The teachers are great and they make sure the parents are informed at all times. They also provide opportunity and information for parents to stay involved with their kids. Great School! Great Leaders!
I had a child in Jonesville Elementary and she was LD. My IEP was not ignored and they did very well with her. She has been moved up and no longer needs help since she has gone to Middle School. I love the school district, not that I haven't had my share of problems with them but has soon as I took the concerns to the appropriate person my concerns were address and the problem fixed. We do have a new superintendent of Jonesville Schools , he's a very nice guy and his door is Always open! I don't know that the sports are all that great but I do know that when my children were attending Adrian, they were not getting such good grades. We came to Joneville and they are straight A students. The performance art program in the middle school with Mrs. Biggs is also great!
This is a great school for kids who learn with ease, but I have a child that needs help. My child didn't get that help. The teachers really need to work on their special ed skills and not treat the kids as if they are dumb. The LD teacher needs to be there for his students not for the teachers. If you have an IEP in Jonesville it is ignored. If they want great test scores maybe they should care about the underdogs, and follow their plans to be able to achieve a better education. Not all LD kids are bad.
We choose Jonesville M.S. because the Principal and Staff showed us that they cared about our child's desire to learn.
