It is a great school, although very easy sometimes, it teaches good lifelong lessons

I am a former student and a parent of 2 two students. I adore the school. My children get the attention required to learn at their best level. My children love the enviroment and adore the teachers. They make learning fun and interesting.

I didn't like the Gagie school because the teachers would yell at you if you asked a few questions and wouldn't listen to you when you felt like class was too easy and you knew everything. Don't go to this school if you want to advance.

I have two children currently attending The Gagie School. I am so thankful for the positive atmosphere provided by the teachers and Dr. Gagie. Because of them my children absolutely love to learn! They make every child feel special and smart. Everyday my children come home excited about new facts they have learned. Teachers are able to teach at whatever level your child is at regardless of where they fall in the typical grade level curriculum. This is especially helpful in math and reading. This individualized teaching method keeps each child who is learning above grade level from being bored and those that need additional help from getting left behind. In addition, public speaking is highly emphasized which creates children who aren't afraid to make presentations in front of others later in life. Another plus, Spanish is taught from Preschool on up. I can't say enough wonderful things about this school.

As a parent and a college professor in education, I have selected the Gagie School for my children because I believe that the school provides a well-rounded, comprehensive education. My children are excelling in academics and becoming caring individuals in large part due to the Gagie School.

I felt that my child was not prepared for high school after attending the Gagie school, so I pulled my 2nd child out of gagie 1/2 way through..

The Gagie School is really the best school in the area. Teachers focus on the individual and help all students meet success. I have two children in the school and I could not be happier with their progress in and out of the classroom.

The Gagie School focuses on the arts. If your child is musically inclined this school has one of the best vocal classes in the Kalamazoo Area

Former Student - 'Once upon a time' Dr. Gagie and the faculty work hard to make Gagie School an enriched learning environment. Upon leaving Gagie, I chose to attend a Public Highschool and found that because I had been given such a strong academic foundation, I had an advantage over many of my peers. Because of the pace that a larger body of students demands, children that excel and those that struggle are the most dramatically affected. The students that excel are stifled by the slow pace and those that struggle become lost and demoralized, overtime resulting in a disdain for learning. At Gagie, because of the smaller class sizes, students obtain a great start and each child, regardless of pace, is given the attention and coaching that is necessary for him/her to succeed. Aside from that, I have great memories from my experiences there.
