Handles bullying effectively: Disagree

- a
Administration ignores and very poorly handled bullying issues. One student had decided to call police when her harassment was so severe.

Supports LD students: Disagree

- a
Not many students with learning disabilities go here, and when they do, they are often bullied. Also, there are nearly no programs in place for children with disabilities.

Effective school leaders: Strongly disagree

- a
Leadership at Hackett Catholic Prep is detestable. Administrators handle issues unprofessionally and threaten students and parents routinely to get their way. Hackett is poorly run and the money they recieve seems to go straight down the drain.

Develops character: Neutral

- a
Since HCP is catholic, they market themselves as a school emphasizing morality and values instilled in their students. However, the students are more or less like normal kids from public schools- just richer.

Teacher effectiveness: Strongly agree

- a
Most teachers truly seem to care for their student's well being. They carefully formulate lesson plans and teach according to each student's needs. Teachers at hackett know how to be fun and engaging, and often lead to a positive environment thereafter. Grades are generally higher at Hackett because of the quality of teachers.

Amount of homework: Neutral

- a
Homework accounts for ten percent of student's grades. Somehow, if one assignment isn't completed their grade drops, but routinely completing assignments does nothing to improve the class grade.

I hated going to school here. The teaching staff is terrible, the school doesn't do anything to control bullying or other problems. The environment in the school is bad, a lot of the students say how they dispise this school. Overall, i hate this school, and wouldmuch rather be somewhere else.

The academic standards at Hackett are outstanding. Her achievements in Latin and AP Math and Lit are well beyond what we hoped for. Our child is a junior this year and has loved attending class these last two years. The Catholic atmosphere and teachings are a blessing and the student body is less polarized than your typical public schools. My daughter is a bit of an oddball and gets no grief from any of the other students or teachers. I am from a family of public school educators and am certain that she would not be received quite so well at these institutions. The price you pay to attend Catholic schools are well worth every cent.

- a
Hard to find a school that the kids get bullied more and the administration does less to deal with it

- a
Hackett has a wonderful, caring community, as well as a strong academic atmosphere. My children were prepared for college and life in general.
