The teachers at LES are very effective. They are held to high standards of the best practice in teaching.

Homework is given on the principle of 10 minutes times the grade level the student is in. For example, a first grade student would have 10 minutes of homework, a second grade student would have 20 minutes of homework and so on. This principle is researched-based.

Laingsburg Elementary School has a staff dedicated to students and their families. Kids are given the support they need to excel. Many people, who visit LES, comment on the positive atmosphere which exists there. It's a growing district with some of the highest standardized test scores in the Shiawassee District. It is a very safe and fun place for kids to make friends and flourish academically.
