My son has went to Mt Hope , the staff is either supper nice or very rude. The secretary in the office is very rude. I called the school to let them know that the adult safety that crosses the kids at busy pen. was not their she rudely told me that , that was not an issue for the school that i need to call the police department. How is the safety of the children not a school issue. the principle has changed twice in two years and now they only have a principle a couple days a week. I will be sending my child to another school next year.

My daughter attended Mt. Hope last year schools of choice from a suburban school. I highly recommend Mt. Hope's kindergarten program! Deirdre Bennett is an amazing teacher. She is able to teach the curriculum as well as make it fun for each and every child. My child is beginning first grade reading at a beginning third grade level. I love everything about this school. Mrs. Old is a wonderful, dedicated principal who truly cares about the children. I recommend Mt. Hope to everyone I know.

I did some preservice teaching in Mt. Hope and despite the tight budget and scarce resources, Mt. Hope has a pretty good thing going. For the most part, the teachers are excellent. There are a few that I was less than pleased with, but that happens anywhere. If you have to send your child to a Lansing school, this is it!

i used to go to this school for all of my elementary years, and i can say first hand that the teachers do their absolute best to keep every student on track. i'll tell you that has helped me a lot during my current years. even in 7th grade, i still have no regrets about going here. if anyone is thinking not to send their child here, i would say 'send your kid here, it will really help them.' although, they don't enforce the 'bully code of conduct' as much as i would've liked, but they do their best with 30 kids in a classroom.

My daughter is finishing her 2nd year at Mt. Hope and we are unfortunately moving out of state. I could not be more pleased with the school as a whole her teachers have been beyond amazing. Not only do they do an excellent job teaching in the classroom, but have also attended some sporting events and dance classes on their own time. My daughter is finishing up 1st grade and is already reading at a 3rd grade level, I contribute much of the credit to her teacher this year. She has been so enthusiastic and all of the children in her class have been eager to learn. I can not say enough good things about this school.

Mt. Hope Elementary is one of the finest elementary schools in Lansing in my opinion. It has a dedicated, caring staff of teachers and wonderful parent support from the community.
