My Son has been going to Linden Elm. for a few years, and he as I do love the school, the teachers and the principal. We are getting ready to move and I am very upset that I have to leave the Linden Area.

My son attended Linden for 2 years and my daughter has attended for 3 years. We have pulled my son out to homeschool as we just found this school not to be the best fit for him. They have large classroom sizes and in many casses very small classrooms. I have talked to the principal about different situations and have not found the follow through that I would have expected. The teacher has sent home so much homework for my child that I often wonder what exactly is being taught in the classroom.

New students are made to feel welcomed here. The curriculum seems comparable with other schools I am familiart with. As a retired teacher myself I have a good understanding at what makes a school work. Linden El's curriculum is tougher than our old school and I feel our children will be more prepared for testing and for going on to middle school. After 1.5 years here we do see a fair amount of teacher turnover in the lower grades and in the special needs programs. I have had terrific response from my children's teachers when the kids get behind or do not understand the expectations. Communications through email and phone and the web site calendar is our lifeline. I love small town life where my choldren only walk a couple of blocks to school. The teachers, the other workers, the building and the administrators are open for business. Children seem very respectful of their educational facility here. It is one of the reasons why we moved to Linden.

I feel the teachers, principal, and other staff at Linden Elementary are awesome! My 2nd grader loves to learn and I credit that to her teacher. The kids look up to their principal too. He really cares about 'his' kids. I volunteer every week and see what is going on in the school. I am also very impressed with their music program. They perform an incredible music Orf Concert where the kids play instruments you never thought they knew how to play. They Art program is incredible too. Last years art show was amazing.
