I currently have one child who attends Peace and another child who graduated from Peace. My child in high school currently has a 4.0 and is very involved in the high school's extra-curricular activities. Peace Lutheran not only provided my child an excellent academic foundation, but also helped her to grow spiritually through the Bible classes and devotions.
Both of my children attend Peace Lutheran school and are thriving. Their teachers are loving and experienced. The school is a family. Everyone looks out for one another. They have a wonderful music program, physical education program, and lunch program despite its limited building capabilities. The education meets individual needs and challenges them to learn more. Most importantly, it teaches great morals as they learn about the Bible.
My child has attended Peace for several years and has thrived in the small school enviornment. The smaller class sizes enable teachers to get to know their students strengths and weeknesses and work with them accordinly. Although this is a religious based school, there is diversity among the families and not all of them are church members. Everyone seems accepting of everyone else and for this reason my child has continue to do well and grow acedemically.
This school has no library, gym or lunchroom. The teachers there are very judgemental and try to interfere in peoples lives. If you don't give enough money and attend church every week you are gossipsd about and treated like a second class citizen. If your child struggles in any way the staff will instantly label them ADHD, And try to force you to medicate. THE School has no janitor and is dirty. I have seen mice and mice traps in their all purpose room which is also used for a make shaft 3rd and 4th grade classroom. Beware if you are considering this school.
This school is ran by a principal who also is the 7th and 8th grade teacher he is married to the 1st and 2nd grade teacher...so if you have any issue with her.. conflict of interest. My boys attended for 5 yrs. By the time my son hit 5th grade his teacher had him so frightened he was terror find to go to school he said witnessed her flip children's desk over and screamed so much he was a nervous wreck. If you question the staff you are exiled and labeled an outcast. Upon leaving the school I was shocked I had paid for this...A sad state of affairs.
both of my children attend Peace and the education is great but the best thing is the love and respect the teachers give each child. Peace also has a great music program my oldest has been reading music since the first grade
