This school does not convey a warm atmosphere. I was told I could not simply "drop in" unannounced to observe in my child's classroom, that I would have to make an "appointment." Parents don't seem very welcomed. I agree with the other review about the principal being harsh and rigid in her policies and difficult to deal with. Apparently that is why she was let go by another district..I have found this school's discipline policy to be outrageous - my chilid was given "disciplinary notices" and sent to the principals' office by a teacher for having trouble focusing on work, not for misbehaving. My child has a learning disability and was essentially punished and disciplined for it, instead of being given the help that was needed and expected from educators. I would not recommend this school.

My son has attended Franklin for three years , and we have been blessed to have three amazing teachers who have each offered him a loving nuturing environment to learn in. On the whole Franklin is a great school, and I will send my other children there. My only complaint is that the administation namely the principal tries to have to much controll over her teachers and staff, which interferes with their teaching. The principal also does not take suggstions or request well from parents.

My son has problems with reading and math. I know he can do it he just has problems with not talking and learning and his teacher is really good at getting him to concentrate on studying and not talking.
