well the school is...... financialy in trouble at this time *to put it lightly* There is a lose in acedemic programing.Leading to a lower grade point average for many of the students. There are up to 35 students in a class room and for gym there is around 80.

I myself attended this school back in the early 80's, then it was a very good school. Now my 14 yr. old attends this school, and they are much more strict and structured now, then back then. The teachers are great and very willing to help your child out when in need. I would recommend this school to parents seeking a great middle school to send their child to. About the tests

In 2012-2013 Michigan used the Michigan Educational Assessment Program (MEAP) to test students in grades 3 through 8 in math, reading and writing; in grades 5 and 8 in science; and in grades 6 and 9 in social studies. The MEAP is a standards-based test, which measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Michigan. The goal is for all students to score at or above the proficient level.

Beginning in the 2011-2012 school year, the Michigan State Board of Education implemented new definitions of what it means to be proficient on the MEAP test. The new standards for proficiency are higher than in previous years and the percent of students earning a proficient score is expected to be lower as a result of this change.
