My children have attended Klager Elementary K-3. We are now living overseas and they are attending a private international school. Tuition is over $20,000 apiece. Well money does not buy a good education in this instance. They miss Klager and I miss the teaching style and sense of 'family' at Klager. Can't wait to get them back Carrie

I moved here almost 2 years ago and my children when from C's to A's. The staff is wonderful and I wouldn't change them to another school for anything. Thanks!

We moved from Manchester because school system is poor and not supported by the community. They always take the cheap way out of a problem and they don't pay their teachers well.

I have two of three children at Klager and I love it. Being raised by two elementary public school teachers I have high expectations. My boys love school and have always felt safe and accepted there. For me that is what counts, not how organized I feel the school is or isnt. For the cutbacks that most public schools have gone through and for being a smaller community I feel we are above the average. Thanks, Amy Doan

I have personally attended private schools, as well as the public school system, in Michigan and in several other states. Additionally, I have taught classes to small children and college students in my career. Klager Elementary is one of the best. The teachers are very dedicated to the students welfare. They listen with compassion to every parent's story and go beyond the call of duty. The community is very involved. When a literacy program was in danger of the budget ax, the community rallied and raised the funds necessary within days. This, despite the fact, that the program directly affects only a small percentage of the pupils, those who need an extra boost with their reading skills. There is a wonderful afterschool program available to every child, including those who opt out of the public school system. I feel very fortunate to have my children benefitting from this school system.

The elementary school is the most disorganized that I have seen. I am now sitting here, 10 days before school starts (going by a flier from last year) and have no information on what happens the first day or who my daughters teacher is. The taxes are high in this area. There is absolutely no excuse for this type of disorganization. Sure, I could call the school but nobody is there.

We have lived in the Manchester community for 10 yrs. I have had my children in all 3 school systems, high school, elem & middle school. I have not been satisfied on any of the levels, but I feel I was most disappointed on the Elementary level. I found it to be one of the most disorganized, non-thorough school system, that I have even encountered. Myself and my eldest attended private schools and maybe, my expectations are too high. I finally took my youngest out and am home-schooling her, as it is the only Elementary school in the district.

As a parent, I could not have asked for a better school. The staff really seem to care about all children. They are not just a number. I started my child in early fives kindergaten. Fantastic program. My child has had some special needs. The school staff worked as a great team to over come, my childs needs. My child will now be starting his third year. I look forward to another great year. Thanks to all, have a safe and happy summer.
