The teachers genuinely care about the students and are involved in their learning at all levels. My child has some special needs and is treated just like everyone else with care and respect. He has made huge gains this year due to the caring efforts of the staff.

I just moved here last year, and I am really glad my kids are in this school. The staff is friendly, the kids get more individual help, and they are a bit ahead of the other schools around sw michigan

My children's experience at the elementary school has been mostly great. It's fantastic to have a small community there - the teachers don't only know their students, but their student's family also. They likely taught an older sibling. Much like a long-time family physician who can draw from his/her knowledge of a patient's family history, teachers in this environment have more clues to help them understand & reach their students. Many of the teachers live in this small town, so they have a vested interest in the outcome of the children they teach. More parents need to get involved.

The elementary school offers a great reading and math curriculum that allows the children to work at the current performance level and be challenged to continue to grow. Social Studies and Science are integrated into the curriculum as well as taught as unique topics of discussion.
