i wouldnt rate this school any better than any of its other surrounding small schools. Its typical education for being so small. Small town education creates small brains.
The school as far as an educational basis is on track or if not beter than others in the country. Marlette has recieved several recognitions for their outstanding educators. The only thing lacking here though is certified or qualified coaches in some of the winter sports programs. There is a notable coach favoritism in boys and girls varsity programs and not playing the qualified or best players of the team.
They offer high quality classes and most of the teachers are nice and won't let a student get far behind. The environment is nice too if you hang out with good people :)
Marlette High School is an amazing educational institution. The academic programs are of high quality and are taught be veteran teachers who are not only well versed in their subject areas, but are also caring idividuals that actually care about the students. There is a relatively high level of parental involvement, but with anything, there could always be more. My children are not involved in sports, but there are several sports available.
Personally, i go to this school and i don't think that any teachers have ever been more involved with there students. They are willing to stay after school to help out when needed. Everyone is very close with the teachers. We also have a very, very good school news show that keeps us updated daily, every morning before classes start. It is offered as an extra ciricular credit along with many other classes. We also are very involved with sports such as track, football, soccer, basketball, wrestling, equestrian, and cheerleading to name a few. I love this school!
I think that marlette is a very uneducated school. I went to Marlette then tranfered over to Davison. And i realized what a big difference school really was like.
