Hughes Elementary School

My son loves it here.. He's beyond excelling even & his behavior has improved greatly! His teacher is amazing & makes time for individual kids when needed. & the principal is way nice & very involved in all aspects. Everyone has been very welcoming also. It's a shame the Great Schools rating is lower (6) for this school because It's truly an awesome school!! I'm sure that will change tho. If you understand how that grade is established & look @ the test scores, you'll notice 1 grade level is exceptional, but the other is low.. So overall the grade gets smooshed because 1 grade level didn't test so good.. & its only based on 1 year, so... I def see that changing! Community Ratings are Top Notch ;)

Hughes is an amazing school. My children have been blessed to have an incredible teacher, Miss Clift, who loves her students dearly and they love her too. Miss Clift puts her kids first and wants them to succeed. I love her passion and methods of teaching 'thinking outside the box' to reach every type of child and the way they learn as individuals'.

All 3 of my children have attended Hughes and LOVED it. The principal is so caring and in tune with the kids, he's an amazing principal. We've had teachers from Kindergaren thru 4th grade there and loved each and every one of them. parent of 3

Hughes is a good school with some excellent teachers. From personal expierence having a young student, their Kindergarten level is excellent with an outstanding teacher Mrs. Walker who makes learning fun for her students.
