Marshall Academy is providing our children the exact kind of education that we have always wanted for them. The classical curriculum begins to prepare children from day one for a life of purpose, virtue and academic excellence. We have no doubt that they will be prepared for college and life beyond. The high academic and moral standards match up perfectly with our own philosophy. At Marshall Academy we are treated by the teachers and the headmaster as true partners in our children's education. It's like receiving a private school education for free. No school is perfect, but this one has been close to it for us!

Marshall Academy offers a college prep curriculum that compares to many private prep schools. The atmosphere is conducive to learning and is very caring....a family. The teachers are amazing. They make learning challenging and fun. They are very dedicated and give much of their time and wisdom. The school has a fabulous music program which begins early and continues through the high school. They also have an active theater program. They offer many sports options and any child that is dedicated to doing their best can play...no matter their skill level. It is amazing to see some of the kids that have never played a sport blossom into athletes, because someone gives them a chance. I am so thankful my children are attending Marshall Academy and know that as they graduate in the next few years, they are prepared for anything they will face academically in college.

My son began attending Marshall Academy in second grade when our parish school closed. I was looking for a Christian environment and even though Marshall Academy does not claim any religious affiliation the 'Seven Virtues' the school proudly displays and upholds are obviously straight from the Bible. When I drop my son off for school each day I can leave him knowing he is safe and happy. An education can be obtained anywhere, a feeling of safety and good moral standards can not. When I enter the new Middle School/High School, I see students who hold the door for each other and for parents. Kids in the hallways are kind to one another; there is no pushing, shoving, or horseplay. Respect for one another is evident throughout the entire school. Therefore, if these are the qualities you would like your child to display this is the school for you.

This is the first year for our child to attend Marshall academy and we could not be more pleased with the education being received. The curriculum is wonderful and more advanced than other schools. Our child was reading before Christmas and is already developing an understanding of math terms such as add, subtract, less than and greater than. In science he/she is using terms that will be used throughout his/her academic life. The school atmosphere is one of openness, respect and caring for all. Teachers are willing to speak with parents about their children's education. Parents are encouraged to participate in the many activities that happen at the school, both in the classroom and after school. This is a wonderful academic community and we look forward to participating for many years.

This is the first year for my child here at the Marshall Academy. We will have our child complete this year at the Academy, but unless things change and the headmaster can get control of its student body, my child will not be returning next year. At this point I would not recommended this school to anyone , in fact I would be against it.

This school is notorious for rotating teachers, firing teachers and combining classes mid- year. A parent is never sure of what to epect going into the school year, and then only to have things totally change a month or two later. There is no stability for the children. There is no hot lunch and only a tiny play area for the kids. Will not recommend this school to anyone.

For the most part, I have been impressed with the quality of education my children have received at this school. The teachers seem to be concerned about the children and go out of their way to keep the lines of communication open with parents. No hot lunch program. Huge change over in teachers and headmasters.

Our children have attended Marshall Academy for 5 years and we are thrilled that they have had this opportunity. Both of our children participate in their band, yearly musicals, basketball, and volleyball. The curriculum is comparable to a private academy. The expectations are high, but this creates a caring and respectful environment. It is not perfect, but we have been extremely satisfied and look forward to the new high school.

My daughter was in grade K when the school first opened and it was great, small classes and she got the help she needed. Then the next year my son started school there and the same small classes and lots of help the kids needed. But now the school has over 18 kids in each class - this was one reason why I had my children there. as the years have went by every two years different headmasters and teachers keep coming and going. Teachers that I felt didn't care if your child got help or not. Parents that didn't know how to do the work themselves and couldn't help the children. My children where coming home with a lot of homework because they didn't and couldn't get the help they needed. Very strict, a little to much at times.
