I currently attend Midland High School and am proud to be a Chemic. I have attended many schools as well as one other high school in the area and have never found this level of expectation, spirit, or will to achieve in any student body. I am confident that any student who is willing to meet the school part way will have a great high school experience regarding academics and social life. I am a member of: Key Club MHS Band IB Diploma Program (taking) AP courses and tests
Best high school in the area. Midland high has the highest expectations out there. Know one can deny that this school preps kids for collage.
Midland High is a fantastic school. I have many fond memories of my time there. The teachers were great and the classes prepared me for college with no surprises. There are plenty of extracurricular activities and the spirit of the school is unparalleled. Go Chemics!
My children attended MHS until we relocated. Excellent school with great teacher involvement and lots of opporttunities for parents to become involved. High educational standards, Very nice public school system, leaves kids very well educated.
This school, as well as the entire MPS system is overrated. Midland High School and it's educators did not prepare any of my children for college or the real world. They were allowed to 'slide'. My daughter was allowed to take 3 art classes in one semester, instead of having a counselor encourage her to take more math and science classes.
Teachers here treat students with respect and maturity. Activities are available to students of all walks of life. These include an exceptional music program; sports including football, soccer, golf, swimming, etc.; and clubs ranging from Spanish to Key Club to Japanese Culture and Anime. Discipline is reflected through the lack of violence seen yearly and the administrators are very understanding. Parents are involved through their children's activities, but not over involved. They help with fundraisers, organization of events, and they support their children at competative events. Midland High School boasts a 250 member band program, teachers of all ages and experiences, adminsitrators who care, and an environment to help anyone reach their goals.
