This highschool has an amazing staff that genuinely cares about the individual student. They are willing to put in the extra hours required to help students succeed. The after school programs are absolutely amazing. My daughter is involved in their fabulous marching band, symphonic band, orchestra, Key Club, Alpine Club and student government. Every advisor is willing to mentor these students to help shape them into caring young adults without stifling their energy or creativity.

Sports is good in some like swimming, softball and tennis. But all over sports are better at midland high school. So if you want to be w/ a more competitive sport team, then choose midland high instead. Most of the teachers are great. They are entertaining and helpful.

The academic programs are strong, with multiple levels to choose from. However, I am concerned with the homework and projects required for each class along with the higher hours required are burning kids out. With respect to music, the orchestra and band programs are excellent, but the choir is somewhat weak. Parent involvement seems to be limited to the same people who were involved in preschool, grade school, and middle school.
