I have three children that have attended milan schools. My yougest has a learning disability. Initially, I had the kids in private school, then a charter school. Then we made the move to Milan schools. Milan area schools have been by far the most responsive in providing quality education. The teachers are compassionate, helpful and readily availiable by phone and email. They work with the parents to do whatever it takes to help your child. I was very worried for my youngest as a result of his earlier years in school, but the services that became a part of his education, and the professionalism demonstrated by the staff has been exceptional. I find the parents, staff and students to be friendly. A friend of mine recently moved her son to Milan schools and he was comfortable from the very first day!

The students here are not accepting of new students and most the subs/teachers don't care as much as they should.

I was recently graduated this school, and my sister continues to recieve her education there now as a highschool sophomore. To this very day they are still ALWAYS bragging about how they are a 'school of choice'--yet on this website their rating is a 6?? I found a lot of problems with my education on a personal level at this school. The teachers and the students are ok, but I wasn't hit with the passion for teaching or love for learning that I certainly am surrounded by in college. I felt like there was no inspiration for their program at MHS. I feel it is also important, above all, to put grades as number 2 on the list and character as number one when it comes to teaching. The teachers there most definitely put grades above character...Motivation to learn must be drawn from inspiring programs and teachers--this MHS lacks.
