This is the most compassionate school my children have ever attended. They strive to meet the needs of the whole child. They have connected with the community to feed kids over the weekend. Teachers go the extra mile and the principal goes out of her way to help kids and their family. I love Sodt!

This school is not that good. Too many kids in the classes. If your child has the least bit of a behavior problem they will try to run you out of their school because they don't want to deal with them.

Hurd Rd. Elementary is the place to be for children to learn. The Teachers and staff are very concerned for students. They go the extra time to help children. Lots of academic extras for children. Parents are very involved at school. The children have great priority and have a drive to be the best they can be!

I think Hurd is an excellent school (academically). It may benefit students to also have some sort of sports activities to join after school.

I think this school is wonderful, the principal is great and so are all the teachers. The school is not over crowded. I think they should add after school basketball for the kids, because I know all kind of kids that would play. But besides that the school is the best around thats why we moved from the Monroe district out here.

I attended Hurd Road for 1-5 grade. I loved it there. The teachers were very student oriented and cared deeply about our success. It is the fault of the members of our community that caused the changes in the school. They voted NOT to renew a $3.1 million millage. Even with this blow to the district, Jefferson prevails by providing its students with a quality education and great extracurricular activity opportunities.

The school used to be great. The district took Sodt Elementary and turned it into a 5th/6th grade school only and then divided the other students into 2 schools. This made Hurd way over crowded and my A student has went to C's. There is little teacher help and parents aren't active.

I love this school! The principal and teachers are enthusiastic and there for the kids. They will do whatever it takes to help your child. I am so glad that my children attend school here. There is a small teacher to child ratio. Only downside are some in the community are unwilling to spend a penny towards the school district. These schools perform and deserve our support!
