St. Michael School has some of the most dedicated teachers! The school is currently working towards MANSS School of Distiniction Award. Students learn not only academics, but the love of God and each other.

I have 2 children in the lower grades and they absolutely LOVE this school. The teachers, the staff and the other kids. I would never even thinks of sending them anywhere else.

Pros: St. Mike's is one of the older and established schools in Monroe. In the last few years they've put effort and money into improving the school by installing a new playground and adding document projection technology in the classroom. In the 08/09 year they are going online with student grades, assignments, and parent notes for the older classes. This is the first parochial school in Monroe to go online with this level of sophistication. Cons: Some of the staff and faculty are not trained in technology or may be adverse to its use. The principal is effective but tries to micromanage everything which rubs some parents the wrong way. The gym is small. There aren't enough fund raisers to pay for all the different projects that could be done; I attribute this to many of the same parents doing the work so they get burned out.
