Morrice Area Elementary School 1

Morrice Area Schools is a magnet school for under-achievers. What they gain in school spirit, they loose in being able to teach reading, writing, and math. I have took steps to "school of choice" four children out of this district because of the severe inability of the school system to understand what it takes to be minimally competent. Every child in this district is an AT RISK student and even the top of the class will find themselves grossly unprepared for life upon graduation. A diploma from Morrice Area Schools is worthless at this point.

We have 3 children in the elementary and we have had nothing but a wonderful experience! We are very involved parents and are always welcomed by teachers and staff. We would never consider sending our kids anywhere else.

I have 2 sons who attend Morrice Area Schools. Whenever either of them have needed extra help they have been there for them. There are some concerns but that would be the same wherever we went. Overall I am extremely happy with Morrice schools.

We are currently looking to send our children elswhere to school. Parents are not made to feel welome in the school. The teachers focus seems to be anywhere but on the education they are delivering to their students....MEAP scores should reflect this. My child has been tested and is at a 5th grade reading and math level, and he is a 3rd grader. The school has told us they cannot give him special work or extra work, as the teacher has other students to consider. The building itself should be condemned in spots. The restrooms are very dirty, and often out of order. The children are segregated during lunch and made to sit in a specific spot. They are given 25 minutes for lunch from the time they leave their classroom. The includes the wait in line for food. Therefor they often have 5-10 min to acually eat.

Have had wonderful teachers going on our third year there. Don't think twice about moving to an area where your kids really do come first!
