West Intermediate School

This school was fun. I learned a lot and did a lot of activities. I think it was cool that they had a walk/run to raise money for local people with Cancer. My last year at West, we rasied over $40,000.00 I just think that's cool. I would recomend this school to parents.

My daughter went to this school and her teachers taught her many things and her teachers were so nice and friendly. She felt so comfortable there.

I have had several children go through West Intermediate in the last few years and have been happy with every one of their experiences. I currently have one child who attends there. I have found the administration to be caring and involved. I think that the quality of the teachers is overall excellent. I would definately recommend West Intermediate to someone who is looking for a junior high school in this area.

They don't give kids much leeway to learn from mistakes or anything. I would not reccomend this school at all. There are a good amount of extra curriculars but the atheltic directore makes it very hard and not many students want to participate. Parents are not as involved as it seems they should be but then again the school doesn't really give them the opportunity. Most of the teachers are good but the administration is horrible.

West Intermediate is a great school. I am very impressed with the teachers and the way that they can keep control over their classes without coming off as 'mean' to the students. This school has a friendly and welcoming learning environment, and the students are surprisingly well-behaved despite the high amount of leeway that students are given. The only things that really disappoint me are the lack of many extracurriculars and strong parental involvment. Other than that I give West Intermediate two thumbs up!

This school is very critical of the children. I am not even sure they like children at this school. The teachers spend alot of time yelling. So much so that my daughter suffered from depression as a direct result of the environment. She is an honor role student and could not handle the stress of being belittled constantly. I would recommend another school, maybe sacred heart. I would not send any of my children to West Intermediate.
