Mt. Pleasant High School is second to none! The new facility built in 2000, is designed for education with inspirational aspects that many schools only can dream of. They also have a world class technical center that offers every imagineable shop or vocational class. MPHS also has a finearts facility that is not only beautiful but has technical capabilities of a professional facility. And the academics at MPHS are very high with excellent teaching staff and course offerings. With it's location being close to Central Michigna University, advanced placement opportunites are many!

I trandferred from Sacred Heart Academy in Mount Pleasant to this school 9th grade. This school was very impressive with how many classes they offered and everything you can do. They really get specific with the subjects, and I love that. This school is very large, but the people are deffinately a better company.

I was a student at this school and the education is about a grade level or two behind my new school in Indiana. But besides that MPHS is a great school for students

When I first started school here I was scared. I talked to the counclers and they were so supportive. The other kids are freindly. When I came from New York

Mt Pleasant High School is by far the best school I have attended. I attended Mt Pleasant High School my Sophomore year until my graduation in 2006. I was behind in my schooling when I first transfered to Mt Pleasant, the consolers were great and helped me succeed. I had all A's my Junior and Senior year and was a part of the MPHS Varsity Cheerleading team. The school has many options, sports, art, technology and of course - an abundance of knowledge. The sky is the limit. Sports helped my grades, I felt it much easier to keep my attention on school and the want for success was strong. The building is wonderful!

Mount pleasant makes accomadations for all students. There are special ed. classes for students with learning disabilities, and advanced classes for the advanced. If students push for higher education, Mount Pleasant High allows them to use Central Michigan University classes to further their education. They pay for something like 40% of the bill, which is nice, because you can keep the credit. There are rarely fights, and with 1000+ students that says a lot. I've been to schools with 300 people with daily fights, but this one has a fight maybe every two months. The classroom secruity is superb. They are not afraid to do whatever is nessacary to keep the students safe. Teachers make themselves very available, and the new Prinicpal has been getting a lot more accomplished than I have seen at any other school. They encourage parents to get involved. I should know, I am a MPHS graduate.

If you are moving there from the Detroit area or other urban school district. The education is about 2 grade levels behind. The teachers are narrow minded and if you are not a Mt. Pleasant native, then you are not welcome and are a target to get blamed for things by the teachers. If you get a job at CMU, live in Midland and commute. MPHS is a horrible place and a great way to get your childs education off track. I am a former student.
