This school is amazing! My child is in the special needs programs and they have by far exceeded my expecations for a school. My child attended another school in the area and I was extremely disapointed. I would recommend this school to any child especially ones with a disability.

I have two children that attend Ezra Eby Elementary, one in multi-age K and one in 5th, and I absolutely love the school. They offer so many different classes that other school do not. They have multi-age classrooms for K thru 2nd and looping for grades 4th and 5th. This makes the student/teacher relationship very strong. The students are exposed to music, art, gym, computers, and library. The best part of the school--the staff. They make every parent feel welcome and a part of the child's education. I love being invited to the various performances put on by the classes and being able to stop in for 'family lunch day' every Friday. I would recommend this school to anyone searching for an elementary school for their child.

About the tests

In 2012-2013 Michigan used the Michigan Educational Assessment Program (MEAP) to test students in grades 3 through 8 in math, reading and writing; in grades 5 and 8 in science; and in grades 6 and 9 in social studies. The MEAP is a standards-based test, which measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of Michigan. The goal is for all students to score at or above the proficient level.

Beginning in the 2011-2012 school year, the Michigan State Board of Education implemented new definitions of what it means to be proficient on the MEAP test. The new standards for proficiency are higher than in previous years and the percent of students earning a proficient score is expected to be lower as a result of this change.
