Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.

Anchor bay schools are above average While the student to teacher ratio is acceptable the facility is dated. Middle school south used to serve as the high school. Anchor bay has built a new high that according to google is the third largest in the country in terms of square footage. The school system does have excellent extra curriculars. The band program is one of the tops in the state and sports programs have excellent facilities even though outcomes aren't the best. Community involvement throughout the school system is splendid. This is a public school so it does have it's share of issues but the students are well watched after. I have just had a son who graduated and can say I am happy to have had him in this school district

It's ok but some of the people can really annoy you and the teachers can at time but its a good hearted school. But there is a big bully problem that should be solve ASAP And you can make friends there but they can kind of mess up your focus in class. They also need to take things to a more serious level including the teachers. The teachers spend to much time talking about other stuff they seem to get off task a lot. But i think that the school needs to be re modeld it looks really old inside I mean the school is like 40 years old and the bathrooms need to get re done really bad. And wensday should be an early release day. Well i hope someone from the school sees this.

This school is amazing. The teachers are super understanding and kind. I also think the "dot system" is a great dicipline system, almost like the "three strikes and you're out" saying. They know how to handle difficult situations well, although they have a bit of a bully problem. :/

After reading the students' comments, I think they should spend a little more time on spelling.

Academic programs are continuing to grow and expand. Coming from a private school setting to here I was very pleased at the academics provided. Teachers were very informative and helpful to any issues that arose during the year. I did however have some security issues regarding recess and supervision. I felt there were not enough grown-ups to supervise so many children at once at recess. Some of the extra curricular functions were very chaotic. Over all though, very pleased!
