I am an 8th grader, 2010-2011. i enrolled last year, and i like the school. most of the teachers are really great and do an outstanding job making sure we understand the material. My only complaint is, some of the teacher's seem as if they could care less about the students, and play favorites. Also, the kids. They all have nothing to do here, so they spend they're day doing nothing but horsing around and making sexual jokes in the middle of class, and completely disrespecting their fellow students and teachers. I don't feel very safe here, with people always wanting to fight me for no reason, when I'm the quiet girl who sits and reads all day, and don't cause problems with anyone. Also the sexual remarks that i hear from the boys is awful. but overall, the education is probably the best around.

Our 8th grader was new to this school this 2008-2009 school year. My only complaint is the lack of response from teachers and staff to emails, phone calls and even hand written letters. If responses occurred, it was many days later. Teachers seems very enthusiastic during parent/teacher conferences about the subject they were instructing. My 8th grader seems to have enjoyed his year there.

We have an 8th grader at Renton Jr. High, and are very pleased with the school, the only thing I wish would change is offering more parent involvement. We never quite know, when or if they ever want volunteers, and I know many parents are out here ready and willing to help.

We moved to New Boston the end of last year, because we where told how great the school system is. I must say I have been very impressed. I have a 7th grader in Renton, and he loves the school. I cant believe how excited he is to tell me about his day, funny things a teacher said, something he learned or how his challenge went in band. Its so nice to send him to a school where I feel he is safe, and is getting a great education.

I have been very pleased with this school. The school has worked with me to help my children thrive. When there has been any type of issue with one of my children I was notified immediately. I find everyone at the school is approachable and puts the needs of the children first. My children have said that bullying is not tolerated at all at Renton. My son suffers from a chronic illness and the school has been very accommodating of his needs. When he has had some issues with his illness at school it was handled by the staff as discreetly as possible.

I like the school and principal, but the secretaries in the school are very rude. I have had several run ins with them over the phone. Secretaries are the first ones that they see, and they really set a tone for the school/principal/asst principal.

I have a very different view on this school. I find the secretaries rude. Any time I've been in the office I have felt that I'm a bother to the staff. When you walk into your school office you should feel secure in that the staff can locate your child if needed, or locate your records, or even one of your childs teachers. Any time I've been in this office I've gotten a different person (or student) to talk to and no one seems to know where anyone or anything is. I am in the process of comparing the other schools in my area.
