I think Velma Matson Upper Elementary is blessed with a lot of great teachers, my favorite was Mrs. Cook, she is by far one of the best teachers I have ever come to know. She is very involved with the parents of the children in her class. I only hope that in the years to come a lot more teachers can be more like Mrs. Cook. I am also impressed with the parent/child special nights they have like the cinco demio one they had last year, it is great for both children and parents to come together with the school for a dinner and games.
