The leadership is like no other. Genuinely caring and teach children life skills as well as strong academics. The families are very warm and friendly. The students and staff are very respectful to all. The teachers my kids have had are the best! My kids love this school and are happy. It has been a positive experience.

Our 4th grader has attended NCS since preschool. We love this school! The teachers and staff are amazing. They love God and their students and it shows. The children have a voice here and are treated like the gifts from God that they are. We plan to send all of our children to this school!

2 of my children have gone through all 8 grades here and I still have one in elementary attending this year. We love the school and it has prepared our children both academically and spiritually to move forward on their path in education and life. This school is a wonderful environment for any child and parents will be pleased with the staff and how each teacher looks at children's needs on an individual basis. Truly a blessing to us for over 11 years!

I am a teacher myself, and I have been very impressed with my daughter's first year at NCS. I love the mentoring and the emphasis on character. I also love that they use Saxon math! Mr. Storey has a compelling personal background and geniunely cares about the students and staff. NCS is a top rate Christian school.

NCS is a great school and we feel so blessed to have our son attending. Far superior to the public school we were attending. Our son has thrived during the school year.

This school has a great principal and most teachers are very loving. I would recommend this school for pre-schoolers or elementary age kids. .... Also I wish the sports were more visible.

I think the principal is awesome. He truly makes the school what it is. I would recommend this school to anyone that wants their kids in a loving caring environment. It makes me feel as if we are one big family. I wish the sports program were a little more visible.

I have had the opportunity to observe Northville Christian School as both a parent and a member of the board of the church with which it is affiliated. The quality of education is simply outstanding. The leadership of the principal and vice principal is so good that the teachers love them. As a direct result turnover is extremely low. Both teachers and adminsitrators are committed to work together as a team to bring excellent education to the students. Their fiscal management is very good as well. The facility is very conveniently located in an excellent community.

I am a student at Northville Christian and I am very pleased in the education I am getting from my great teachers. If you want to have your children to have a fun, but a comfortable time at a school Northville Christian is the way to go!

I have three children, one who still attends Northville Christian School. The past several years the school's main focus of providing an christian education has changed to a private club atmosphere. The students lack a caring attitude toward each other in the school as will as outside of it. Students do not encourage each other as they did in the past. Part of this is due to lowering of academic standards and allowing broader group of students to attend this school. I also believe parents are at fault for not enforcing the christian values at home. In fact, many parents contribute greatly to the problems mention above. There is rampant gossiping among parents about others in the school. I find it disheartening that the administration lets this continue when they see it happening.

My 12 y/o daughter has been attending NCS since third grade and we have been very pleased. NCS puts a major emphasis on character-building and that has supported our family values of honesty, integrity and caring. She has always struggled with Math, but her teachers have been very helpful. I feel that she is getting the education and the moral values she needs to do well in high school.

I have two children at Northville Christian and we have been very happy with this school. The principal and vice principal are wonderful, caring people that truly have the kid's best interest in mind. There is as much emphasis on character development as there is on academics. Christian values are clearly advocated. It is true that there are not as many extracurricular activities offered as some of the other Christian schools in the area, but tuition is also significantly less. We have been happy with this school and would recommend it to others seeking a Christian education.

I have one 7th grader at Northville Christian School and I have been disappointed over the past year. The quality of the education has declined and there is a lack of character building and descipline in the classroom. This was not the evident several years back.

I have three children attending NCS. My 7th Grader was just inducted into the National Junior Honor Society. The Resource Room has helped my 4th Grader tremendously with Reading. NCS has extremely high academic standards. They also strive to provide quality learning in terms of Art, Music, Spanish, Computers and Phys. Ed. However, my main purpose in sending my children to NCS is NOT academic, but SPIRITUAL. NCS not only has high academic standards, but also has a strong desire for children from all denominational backrounds to have a loving relationship with their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I believe this should be the first priority in a school, not extra-curricular activities. The Principal and the Staff of NCS EXCEL in this most important facet. In terms of parental involvement, I wish more parents would get involved. We have more than last year, but not enough.

I am a parent of a 5th grader at this school and was told about this website by several other parents. After reading the review that were submitted, I have to agree with many things other parents say about this school. It lacks extracurricular activities for the children. It also has an atmosphere where parent participation in classroom activities are not openly welcome. It does provide hot lunch meal at a resonalbe cost. However,it bothers me that their is so much pressure for parents to fundraise for the school. I know they don't get taxpayer money, but constant fundraising to friends and family become a burden. It has been brought to my attention that the church is going through a pstorial change and is having financial problems maybe this is the reason their so much fundraising.

Being a current student at Northville Christian school, I find it difficult to understand how parents rave about this school. We use older books than any other school. No activity nights like other schools have. So what up with saying this is a caring school. If they cared they would provide better books and have a activiy night.

I have 2 children that attend NCS. I think overall it is a great school. The one thing that it does lack is extracurricular activities. But, the quality of education and Christian experience far out way that. I would recommend this school to anyone looking for a good education, with Christian values.

My child attended this school 6 years ago and made many friends his age. The school provided a fairly decent education at a reasonable cost. However when the principle left, the school started to decline. Recently I stop by this school to acquire about the school for my second child. To my surprise the teaching staff and administration had change completly. Their was a feeling of being unwelcome. The teaching staff seemed frazzled and wary.

My husband was recently transfered to the Northville area from another state. We were looking for a christian school that could provide a safe environment and a good education for our two children who needed special help in certain subjects. I heard about Northville Christian and Plymonth Christian from several people in the community who had mixed reviews of the schools. I decided to get an informational package for both schools. After reviewing the information packages and visit each school we felt Plymonth Christian provided a far better education than Northville. Northville lack the resources to help our children special educational needs. Also the staff and parents at Plymonth Christian were friendly and accepted our children for what they were, at Nothville, I felt my children would be left behind.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.

What is the GreatSchools Rating?

The GreatSchools rating is a simple tool for parents to compare schools based on test scores, student academic growth, and college readiness. It compares schools across the state, where the highest rated schools in the state are designated as “Above Average” and the lowest “Below Average.” It is designed to be a starting point to help parents make baseline comparisons. We always advise parents to visit the school and consider other information on school performance and programs, as well as consider their child's and family's needs as part of the school selection process.
