Overcrowding is just horrible at the new Lapeer High School, The AP director is not a people person. The overall consolidation was a disaster. The young and inexperienced Super . pushed this change way to fast and then started interviewing for new position before even completed, just as many people predicted. We wish he had gotten the job so Lapeer Board could correct their mistake that has cost this community dearly. The board is just out of touch with what is best for our children. Bigger is not better! Go Wildcats!

I would not take any negative review of this school seriously. It is just from a bitter parent that did not get their way. OHS is an awesome school!

Not at all a good school, nobody likes Kurt Nuce and Pam Fine is a well known instigator. Teachers have to put up with a uncooperative administration, where many wont listen to teacher feedback. Needless to say, most students know the problems facing teachers today because of bad management/administrator at OHS. If i was a parent, and as many of these teachers do, take your children to a private school like Cranbrook or Detroit Country Day.

Oxford High School is one of the most progressive high schools in Michigan. It is internationally, nationally and state recognized for their outstanding programs and quality of education. My high school students can choose from a comprehensive list of advance offerings such as AP classes, IB Diploma program, Early College, Engineering program that has partnered with two universities, an Arts Conservatory and the list goes on. I also appreciate that they do not charge my kids to participate in athletics or attending performing arts and athletic events. They truly walk the talk when they say they value the arts, academics and athletics equally in developing the holistic child. If you are looking for a safe and caring high school with unlimited opportunities, there is no better high school then Oxford High School. Even during the recession we had no teachers were laid off and no programs or opportunities taken away from my three kids. In fact, Oxford High School kept the students first the whole time by adding more opportunities. I am glad we moved to Oxford several years ago! Great Schools & Great Community!

Oxford School District is the only growing district in Oakland County. Oxford High School as the final stop in this progressive school system is continually developing a positive reputation around the county, state and nation as a cutting edge district known for adding programs, not cutting them. In the past five years the standard and vision for this school have changed direction from status quo to innovation. Oxford High School now has an International Academy, tripled involvement in the Arts, is becoming an International Baccalaureate school, eliminated pay-to-play sports and continually receives high honors in Arts, Academics and Athletics. At Oxford High School there is a standard that Arts, Academics and Athletics are all equally important, not just in slogan, but in practice. Students at Oxford High School receive educational opportunities that surpass those of neighboring districts because the school is adding opportunities for students, not taking them away.

This seems to be the most current review of my school. Let me tell you, Oxford is great. I am a freshman and have 2 AP classes I can take and 3 different languages (Spanish, Chinese, and Sign Language). The teachers come from around the world and are very easy to understand (when you ask). It is ranked one of the top schools in michigan by Local 4. I love it here.

Plays, music, sports, technical, languages, orchestra, they have it all. Plus the teachers really care and go the extra mile for their students.

I think Oxford is a wonderful school district. It is not tense atmosphere like other districts I have been involved with. They have an outstanding special-needs department, offer many AP courses, and have always improved my child's strengths while building up his problem areas. It is true that the only language offered is Spanish. However, there are four high school teachers available; a concern at other schools. Oxford has a language program starting in elementary school, which is rare elsewhere. Oxford also has an excellent music department which is very active and wins many awards.

I would never recomend this school district to any one. No matter how pretty the building looks we are worse than any other district that I know of. The teachers do not care about your student and the teachers abuse their power over the students in this school and they collect a paycheck without educating the child. I have had no results with any teacher or principle that I have taken my concerns to and they play politics with the family. We have spent millions of dollars on the High School, zero dollars on education and over payed these teachers who are under zealous and need a attitude adjustment. unless your child is a honor student by nature. If your child needs to be taught it will not happen here you are on your own and you need to run in a different direction fast...

I am ashamed that this school offers a lacking circulumn. They do not have many AP classes, only one foreign language (Spanish), and not many computer classes. Many of the other schools nearby offer more classes to choose from. This school is however very nice inside and is a great school. Overall I think your child would be better at another school with more courses to offer.

I graduated from Oxford High School, in 2002. I thought that this school did a great job in meeting my expectations. They took the time to help the students who needed extra help, while treating them like everyone else. I would love to have my children go to this school. Going to Oxford made my high school career enjoyable. It was the best time of my life.

I am currently attending this school as a senior. I believe that it is a great school. It has provided me with many opportunites to learn. I have made many friends, and the teachers are wonderful.
