My daughter is in the seventh grade. She has been a "Kingsbury Kid" since Jr. Kindergarten. Kingsbury's academic programs are challenging and engaging. I consider the Kingsbury Community of Teachers, Adminstrators, and parents as partners in my daughter's education and overall development as a student and fine human being. Thank you!
Kingsbury is truly a very special place. I fell in love with the school the first time I visited it 8 years ago. I have never doubted our decision to send our children here since that day. Even more than the beautiful location of the school, what makes Kingsbury so special are the people there. I have never met such a group of dedicated, intelligent and caring teachers. They have instilled in my daughter not only a great fund of knowledge but a true love of learning in a safe environment that encourages risk taking and inquiry . She looks forward to school every day. The Kingsbury classroom encompasses all 125 acres of the campus. No child is ever left inside. The class learned about, then built and camped in a Mongolian Yurt. The Kingsbury community is truly a special place that every child deserves to experience.
Prior to Kingsbury our oldest son attended a public school for Kindergarten and first grade. He left the public school system 'hating school'. He loved school prior to that but had a bad experience in the public school. When we heard about Kingsbury, the 125 acres they sit on, the environmental studies program, the way they teach to make learning fun and interesting, it really sold us. Our two boys have attended Kingsbury for the last two years and couldn't be happier! Every day when they get off the bus I ask them 'How was school today?' and every day they say 'Good!!' and they tell me about their exciting day. They are learning so much, the teachers really care about the kids and their education. There are a lot of opportunities for parental involvement but they are not pushed on us. I love that our boys love school!
Kingsbury has provided our son with a love of school that we never expected. He previously attended a different private school and hated going--every morning was a chore. He loves Kingsbury; every morning he is eager to go, and every evening he is full of things to share. He is thriving academically, and we have seen a huge leapt in his abilities this past year, both social and intellectual. The administration is accessible and helpful, and the teaching staff is exemplary.
'Mom! Mom! Wake up, it's pond dipping day!' The Environmental Studies Program at Kingsbury has us hooked. Every morning our son asks, 'Can we go yet?' How can we not love a school that inspires such enthusaism for learning? We are consistently awed by his academic progress. The detailed information we receive at parent/teacher conferences confirms that our child is receiving individual attention from professional educators. We had friends visit the school recently, they said, 'It's like Little House on the Prairie...only better!' We agree.
Kingsbury School is a great school with great children! The strong academics, small class sizes, 125-acre campus, caring teachers and involved community, create the perfect atmosphere to learn. My son enjoys going to school every day, and he is consistently being challenged and encouraged to think beyond. When the time comes for my son to graduate from Kingsbury, I am sure he will be well prepared for a successful high school career.
