I went to this school and moved back here just so that my kids could attend Quincy. I was happy until this past year or so. The school board and administration mishandled the schools finances and the children are suffering for it. Teacher support staff is very, very limited as most of the para-pros were laid off. (The financial advisor still has his job, however.) The school won't be able to keep up it's test scores the way they have in the past, as class sizes are too large and they are cutting the type of classes that keep the children happy and motivated. This school used to be the best, but I'm not sure it's fit to teach my children any longer. I can't recommend this school any more and am looking into an alternative for my kids. I will say that the teachers themselves are the best.

I am a former graduate of Quincy High School, the class of 2005 and I am very pleased with the school. I am always hearing good and no bad about this school. I struggled throughout high school because of being learning disabled and the regular ed and special ed teachers would take time out of their day after school to help you with your homework and you will not find very many teachers who will do that, you will at this school. our meap readings are high and we offer a lot for being a small school. Our extracurricular activities are the best in Branch county and quincy will offer the best for your child with planning for college and getting extra knowledge from the Branch Area Careers center of branch county. The teachers and the principle are like family they care about you very much.

I attended Quincy schools from elementary thru high school. Now as a parent, I will be commuting daily to Quincy so my child can attend school there. Your child will not get 'lost in the crowd' here...my graduating class had less than 110 students. Students have set expectations and parents are made aware of progress. Parents are strongly encouraged to participate in thier childs education. Extracurricular sports and activities are available to students and all students are encouraged to participate. Most activities are provided at minimal cost to the parent. Art, choir, drama, and band classes are also provided for credit toward graduation. In addition to classes offered at Quincy, Quincy is one of the local schools participating in the BACC. The BACC is a vocational study program offered to Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors and allows these students to earn college credit while still attending high school. A+
