I want to say to the entire staff and all students who attended my cousin Ian Maitland's funeral, you should be so proud of each other! Obviously your students cared for my cousin and treated in all ways wondeful! Your mere presence and what great respect you showed Ian's entire family, made this terrible day bearable! I can't thank you enough for what you did for me today! Tam Merecer Norwood

I like how involved the teachers are with us the students. And Everyone supports the sports teams and are for the most part nice to one another.

Ravenna high school staff respond quickly to parental calls and emails. They have the best counselors. Some of the teachers are very hard in cp classes, but they will help any child to do their best if that child asks for help. I like the fact that this school means business when preparing students for college. I wish the school did have a first semester freshman class devoted to time management, examples of excellent writing skills (including term papers), and tips for academic success. I would love to see the school try a pilot study to see the effect of starting the school day at 8:30a.M. Examining attendance, academic performance and behavior improvement. School staff or counselors should inquire if their parents have any handicaps or special needs to possibly help families with transportation or any other help they may need. I also suggest school spirit attire for extra points. Thanks.

My child especially enjoyed the Economics class at Ravenna High School.

I think RHS is excellent. Although there are not many elective classes to choose from, RHS makes up for it in extracurricular activities. Mr. Sherman takes safety very seriously and he did a great job his first year as RHS principal. I love that it's a small school were everybody knows your name. You don't have to run to class every day. The teachers are the kindest and most considerate people. Way to go, RHS!

Ravenna High School is a wonderful school. They offer many more programs than the typical small school and unlike bigger schools, the teachers actually know the kids' names.

I believe the student services department at Ravenna is one of the strongest in the state. The counselors always give plenty of notice for testing dates and staff and parents are well informed of upcoming events. Mr. Durr and Ms. Granholm are truly an outstanding team and we are all honored to have known them.

I didn't really like RHS last year as a freshman..but this year it rocks! The new principal is kinda tough....but the halls are cleaner and quieter this year.

I think Ravenna High School is great. The teachers are approachable and so is the Principal. The principal is easy to contact because he is at every sporting event. I couldn't ask for a better experience for my daughters.

The quality of academic programs are terrible. There is no variety of classes. The extracurricular activities are basically pay to play.

Ravenna High School has a new principal and superintendant which is the best thing for that school. Most of the teachers don't have respect for the students, their futures, and rules. If the rules are going to be enforced at all then they need to be enforced for all. They show a lot of favoritism, especially the athletic students. The new principal has his work cut out for him. Good luck!

they do not have a good special ed program. they have almost no classes availible to these kids and it is very sad because they deserve to have fun just as much as the 'normal' kids. they need to focus less on sports and more on what is really important in life.
