The principal here will say anything to please you and do nothing to follow up on her promises. She is poorly informed and very demanding. I was very unhappy with my daughter's placement - which the school failed to inform me of until a couple days before school started. They refused to change her to another teacher. Information home was always spotty with promises to improve it, but they never came to fruition. The teaching staff is very nice, but overburdened and not particularly enthusiastic. The office staff is top notch.

I was very skeptical when I pulled my children from a charter academy and placed them into Gull Lake Public schools. Both of them had been in accelerated classes in the charter academy. Upon placing them into Gull Lake, I was very amazed. Where they once were able to breeze by with little or no difficulty, they now have to study. They are being challenged to maintain good grades and for that I am very happy. A bored mind can get you into serious trouble. I would also like to add that the sports are plentiful. My kids bounce from one sport activity to another and are very proud of their accomplishments.. The teachers and coaches are all excellent and I've not encountered one problem that couldn't be resolved. The Gibson family
