I'm a former student, and this school is filled with preps! I transferred to this school from a ghetto school ( Creston ), and frankly, i liked the ghetto school more. People were realistic there. At Creston i was one of the top three on the soccer team ( i know that isnt saying much, but i loved playing and i loved the people ) and was on the robotics team as well. At Rockford, I couldnt do anything because i was just lost in the population. And i mean it's full of preps - Rich snotty preps. Anyone who was anyone got a bran new car for their 16th birthday - i saw like 15 VW Bugs in the student parking lot once - those were popular for the rich girls. And any kid over 16 who had to take the bus was an automatic loser. The teachers were great and i loved them. . but as a teen in that environment, I was a nobody. I wouldnt ever send my kids to a school in this environment. There's just too many kids. heaven forbid your family is poor and you send your kids to this school.

This massive school system only has 13 ratings? Bizarre. We tried to get information from them to MAKE A DECISION about sending our kids to this school. The school's reaction was one of disbelief. How could we possible consider sending our kids somewhere else? How can a kid really feel a sense of worth in an environment of several thousand. Good luck making the basketball team. Lost in a sea of adolescent faces. I understand you can get an education there, even a good one, but what's the cost? Ram Nation!

Be prepared that if you send your child to this school and they are not the best of the best in athletics - they will just be a 'face in the crowd'. The school is just too large. Also - with the trimester system, the learning is at such an accelerated pace - your student will be very lucky if they retain any information along the way.

I graduated from RHS last year. I absolutely loved it, the teachers and students are awesome. If you want to be involved, you can and I think that is something that makes this school stand out. I would definatley recommend this school to anyone.
