This school is absolutely wonderful! The teachers are amazing, class sizes small, and parental involvement outstanding. It's a small, close-knit school that is great for children. The students are polite, well mannered, and very respectful. The Catholic education that my daughter is receiving there is truly incredible. We are so blessed to have been able to attend this wonderful school.
St. Dennis needs to make all teachers accountable to parents and students. They also have to truly evaluate students and not sugar coat it. That's what parents are paying for.
St. Dennis Catholic School is the best kept secret in Royal Oak. The atmosphere is warm, and teachers are excellent. Their new principal has done a wonderful job. He is an excellent leader, and kind to the students but with very reasonable discipline. The families are extremely supportive and friendly. Very nice community there.
I have been at St. Dennis for 6 years and it has been a wonderful experience. The staff is excellent and your children get the one on one attention that you would not get at other schools. It is truly a caring and family like atmosphere. I can't express enough how wonderful of a place it is.
This has been a wonderful school for my children. We have been there for 6 years and been through some ups and downs. Through it all the teachers have remained steadfast and strong leaders. The atmosphere in the school is warm and friendly and the children are incredibly good. We avoid alot of discipline and social problems that larger schools have to deal with. The small class sizes have their advantages and disadvantages. On the positive side, small classes means that my kids will always get great attention from their teachers, and that truly shows. I'm pleased with this school's high academic standards and their ability to meet my children's individual needs. My kids enjoy going to school everyday.
My kids have been here for 4 yrs. In the beginning I was impressed but every year it seems to loose a little of it's uniqueness. There are a lot of 'small school' politics. Great kids. About half the staff is great. Some need to move on. Need new parents to get involved. Same ones helping out all the time. We're giving it one more year.
This school provides a great learning atmosphere and gets everyone involved in the learning experience.
Horrible experience! Serious changes need to occur - new teachers and support staff would be a great start. My children will never attend this school again - no matter what changes occur.
The atmosphere here is wonderful! The kids are all so sweet and helpful towards each other. The addition of the new principal has been a great change. My kids love it here!
This school has good and bad. We are disappointed with the availability of special classes this year. It seems that the same parents are active and it is difficult to get other parents involved in the activities. The teachers have some support from the principal, but not enough to make it a great school.
