I agree regarding the a elementary gym that is for gym class only. Love the school, need to fix a few things regarding office staff, but still cannot complain about anything.
Satisfied with the elementary building. Would like to see a full time principal to fight for the needs of the children. Class room teachers are very caring and are great at what they do. Sand Creek really needs to have an Elementary gym to make it an almost perfect school. We are surprised that there is not a holiday program or any seasonal event that includes children singing or performing in some way that the community, parents and grand parents are invited. Where is the youth flag football program... very disappointed, we have to go out of the district for this.
Omygosh! What a awsome school! We are school of choice and I don't mind the extra miles I have to drive to this awsome school! The Principle knows every kid by name- that doesn't happen very often! he's there to greet you in the morning and there to say goodbye at the end of the day everyday! The teachers actually care about your child! Its like having a double of yourself at school with your child- they care about what you care about! The school spirit here is extrodinary! The kids here love there school! If you want your children to have a great education Sand Creek is the place to be!!!!
It is a wonderful school with a lot of extra's. It's amazing to see how many teachers and staff know who you are and who your child is. Very friendly, concerned about the students, and show that they want your child to meet certain expectations to be able to succeed. Sports programs for the elementary are exceptional, basketball, wrestling, baseball, where is the youth football? Overall a good school
What an awesome school system. My child attends school of choice and I am pleased to drive the extra distance to get the attention and small town atmosphere he gets from this school. The teachers care about his self esteem as well as academics. And a principal who knows every child by name is almost unheard of in this day and age. Simply a wonderful school system inside and out and we have been on the other end of the spectrum, we know what we have with this school system.
The school is in a small community and a lot of the teacher have been there a long time. There iams not a lot to offfer as far as extracurricular activities go. They are big on sports. The staffis very freindly. The dont have a big special ed progrm. They have one room for all the spe.Ed students. They do sepereate by class level. Diff classes at dif times.Overall its a great school.
