I was just transferred to this school last year from Lowell, and I love this school. All of my teachers are willing to help me where I need improvement. All of the teachers I've had so far, including my teachers from last year, have helped a great deal and I know they care about me and my education because they've told me countless times, as to where my old teachers at Lowell didn't care if I passed or failed their class. The kids per class is small so it's easier for the teachers there to give individual help to a student if they need it. Since it's a small school, everybody knows everybody pretty much.
I graduated from Saranac High School in 2011. I currently attend Michigan Sate University and I can say that my high school definitely prepared me for my college education. The staff is very caring, and if students are willing to put in effort, the teachers are more than willing to reciprocate. I really loved my small town, and I would highly recommend Saranac to any parent who wants their child to grow up with their best friends. The small town atmosphere is a great place to start a family, and I am so grateful for the education I received at Saranac.
I used to go to Saranac and it was very bad. I now go to Lowell School, and when i swiched I was really far behind. The staff is not caring. The elementry is all right, the middle school is much worse. I would not tell anyone to go to this school.
My kids used to go to school at Saranac. The elementary is good, the middle school is average and the high school is horrible. Think twice before sending your kids there.
I am in saranac. Some of the teachers are strict, but can be nice. The principle is very nice. The students are very good. I love this shcool. I wish that they get new equement though. The food is good. The small town is nice too. Theres alot of stuff to do in this town.
I graduated SHS in 2002. The teachers are VERY willing to work with students and parents who CARE about a quality education. The problem is student/parent apathy! Although recently the leadership at SHS is questionable. Its a small town atmosphere, so expect favoritism.
My children attend the high school and we are taking them out... The teachers are lacking in all areas. The students are out of control while in the classroom and on school grounds.
I currently go to Saranac Schools. I think this is one of the worst school districts in Michigan. The majority of the teachers do not care about the students. The principal is very wrong on how he goes about things. The teacher quality is horrible. The parents are not involved at all. The safety and disipline is lacking severly. So I would never recommend this school to anyone who wants a good education.
My husband and I are both graduates of SHS. We would not even consider having our children go elsewhere. Our administration has done a great job with budgeting and the students have not had to suffer like many area schools. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys a small town atmosphere.
I was a student at Saranac, and I can tell you that at Saranac High School, they have some of the best quality teachers there are. The Teachers will do their best to see you, as a student succeed. Now that I am in college, I have come to really appreicate the quality education that Saranac gave me. Although, it is a small school, the community is behind it 100% and I am truely thankful for such a wonderful high school experience.
