Saranac Elementary School: Absolutely the best teaching staff in the county and neighboring districts. Small classes. Fulltime kindergarten. Up-to-the-minute curriculum. Individual help during, after, and in summer school. Focus on friendly, quality instruction at all grade levels. Technology, art, music, fitness, phys ed, and media center classes. Emphasis on community involvement. Beautiful building with four classes per grade plus several pre-school opportunities. New playgrounds. Student council, choir, art displays, student gardens, etc.
New additions to already fine facilities. 3 new playgrounds too. Excellent caring staff. Small class sizes. Lots of parental involvement. Entire campus including Middle School and High School has been recently remodeled with up-to-date computer labs/media centers and their related capabilities, well-maintained sporting venues, history of continued community support. The district consistently works to upgrade curriculum and class offerings to be a leader in the county and in the league. Many locally funded scholarships for advanced education. Saranac Education Foundation supports in-school, after-school, and summer school tutoring at minimal (or no) cost to parents. My children have earned college degrees and gone on to very successful careers after graduating from Saranac Community Schools. This district is a jewel.
Excellent school. Caring staff and good facilities.
