My son is in 8th grade and has had a great three-year experience. Mr. Paul is an asset to the school and a great role model for our kids. Overall the teachers have been great too. Every year I am amazed at how many teachers go above and beyond to help out "total" students. You can't beat the quality of teachers!
I was worried about my child going to the 6th grade from a small elementary building. But the teachers and principals have made the transition pretty easy for my son. The teachers do a good job at keeping their websites current, which really helps. Overall, so far I'm very pleased with what's going on in the building.
The school had a new principal this year. Seems like he's really interested in the kids; mine tell me they see him everywhere in the building. Hopefully he'll be able to change some of the attitudes of some of the teachers. A few need to remember they're working with young kids. But that's only a few, overall, there is a really good staff there. I think it's a safe place for my kids. The only weakness is the bus loop where the MS kids have to get on the buses with the HS kids.
S.A.M.S. is a great place for your child to grow! The math teachers are fantastic.
