Shaftsburg Elementary Perry West Campus

We love our school. My two sons enjoy ALL of the teachers and staff. Mrs. Z is awesome! The building has a wonderful PTO that helps out tremendously! They have a really great PE teacher and my kids love the nature trail. We are very happy with our school.

Shaftsburg Elementary is a wonderful school all the way around. There is a real feeling of community and family. The teachers are caring and do a great job. Parent involvement is evident in the outstanding PTO, which provides numerous 'extras' for the school such as assemblies, field trips, fun evening activities, and yearbooks to name just a few. Shaftsburg Elementary has a solid reputation, and as a parent I couldn't be any more pleased!

We have a new principal now, she had big shoes to fill and is doing an ok job. The teachers that have been around awhile are what makes this such a good school. To bad alot of them are retiring leaving room for inexperienced young book learned teachers to try their ill conceived notions of what motivates a child to learn.

I have 2 children at Shaftsburg Elementary. They have enjoyed their school experiences and have had caring teachers who are current on the latest trends in teaching. The school has an excellent principal and a very dedicated PTO. Both work together to plan enrichment activities, raise money for school improvements and to ensure that our students are safe, responsible, and on track academically. Shaftsburg is a small, safe, friendly school with quality programs and a very bright future. I am proud of the 'A' rating the school has earned and trust they will continue to maintain such high standards.

This school is truly amazing! The principal, Mr.McDivitt, is wonderful! He knows the names of every single student in the school, and they all love him! The teachers are great too! They really care about the students and support them in every way - even when they go on to middle school! It is a very close knit school, and I think it shows in the way the students behave and the way the parents are so involved. Shaftsburg Elementary really deserve an A+!
