Kimball Elementary School
Grateful to: Teacher

Jennifer Hayes is an outstanding teacher that has met and exceeded all of my expectations as a teacher for my son. Her teaching style is an effective combination of pushing high-achieving gifted children to excel while helping those that struggle achieve their individual goals. Her relationship with current and past students is that of warmth and mutual respect. I cannot say enough of Miss Hayes’ communication and organization. She is sensitive to the needs of children and parents inside and outside of the classroom. She provides a consistent, caring, structured learning environment for all students fortunate enough to have her as a teacher.

There is a lot of heart at this school. Most of the staff and many parents try very hard to make it a great experience for each child. I didn't do all 5 stars because there are some concerns such as building/security problems (would have been addressed with the passage of recent bond - however, it was voted down) and some isolated examples of student extreme behavior problems and some ineffective staff. However, Kimball is still great even with its challenges.

I like to volunteer as often as I can. I have always been treated kindly and with respect.

They listen to all sides of a disagreement before passing judgement. This helps children learn to resolve conflicts on their own.

Ms. Burn's has really helped my child grow this year. She has helped build her self confidence. Praise her on her strengths and help her with her weaknesses.

The staff doesn't give up on a student if they are struggling. They find a way to help them.

Has the most amazing teachers who put their heart and soul into their teaching. The principal could be better at taking care of the issues that need to be stopped, like bullying. The parents are very much involved and always eager to help!
