I am currently a senior at Lake Shore and absolutely love it. I transferred from another school district right outside the borders of st. clair shores and automatically saw a change in the overall attitude of not only the teacher, but the other students. Most of the students at Lake Shore honestly care about their education and this is conveyed onto the other students. The best part is, the students who don't care won't be there very long anyways. They are sent to North Lake. The vice principal's have very low tolerance for misbehaving or students with horrible grades, especially the school of choice students. And the teachers really work to prepare students for college. over all, it is a great school if you are ready to work and are college bound.

I am proud to say that I attend Lake Shore High School. The teachers are excellent and care about each students' education. They have awesome hands-on CTE classes including CAD design, Video Productions, Dental/medical careers, and computer science to mention a few. Featured on WXYZ Channel 7's 'Best Schools in Michigan.' Lake Shore is small enough to be personal and large enough to be progressive. Be apart of the Lake Shore family today!

My daughter has attended this school for almost 2 years. I think the school is doing great. It is challenging her to use her mind and to always keep college in her goals. The teachers are always willing to work with you to help your child get the extra support or to excell.

I have had the pleasure of substitute teaching at this school and have been thoroughly impressed with both the students and the staff. The kids are respectful and responsible. The teaching staff is enthusiastic and dedicated. As a substitute, I taught at many different schools and this is one that I always look forward to attending.

My son has attended Lake Shore high for two years, he is now in the 10th grade. I see nothing fantastik about this school, nothing stands out about it. Because it is in a subsurban community, most view this as a must for execellence. I am very dissappointed in the lack of diversity training the staff has, it is obvious that most of the staff has unresolved issues with race. My son is an AAM, he is very mannerable and respectful, an honor roll student with a GPA of 3.8. Every year thus far, he has had to endure unfair, insensitive treatment from the staff at Lake Shore. The students for the most part are great, and has made wonderful friends with my son. African American parents I encourage you to insist on fair and equal treatment of your child if you should decide to enroll.
