Lake Michigan Catholic MEAPS (Michigan Educational Assessment Program) tend to be the highest in the entire county in almost every grade from elementary to high school, and nearly every subject (including comparisons to public schools). The most recent ACT composite score average for the current seniors was in the very high 24s and reaching 25.1. The teachers are well-qualified and their credentials are impressive, most having masters degrees. Most, if not all, classes are honors in the high school and there is a good choice of AP classes for the high school in which college credits can be earned. Some courses are college courses. Students have an abiliity to graduate with an entire semester of college credits complete. The children that go on to attend higher education is near 100%, and the universities they attend rank top in our state and the nation (Michigan and Michigan State being the most popular).

You really lose credibility when your posting is filled with grammar and spelling errors. "Judge not lest...."

Students are not getting a better education then public school students especially in Mathmatics and writing skills. Parents don't seam to be aware of what happens in the school and I sugest doing research befor sending your child here. however the arts and sports programs are decient.

Wonderful academic program with an equally fantastic musical and athletic program. The school also provides a strong, Catholic atmosphere where Christ is everpresent. A family like atmosphere where 'everybody knows everybody' and the faculty and staff seem to take a genuine, sincere interest in our children. The rules of conduct are diligently enforced and the students are held accountable for their actions. The priests also make every effort to be there as much as possible. A school chaplain is present at least three out of five days.

Profile Completeness

Want to improve this school's profile?

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.
