My son is a 4.0 student. I find some (english, history) teachers just don't care. Good principal, good band director, good counseling staff, lots of class choices. He's getting a good education & is happy.

SHHS has an amazing band program. The marching band sounds great, and so do the other bands.

My son attends SHHS. School is what you make of it. He has decided to get involved in the extra-cirricular activities, and has decided that education is important. There are kids at the school that have no interest in education. For those children, they will get out of it as much as they put into it. If they put effort into it, the staff will bend over backwards to help them succeed.

I Graduated from Sterling Heights High School in 2005 and i can't tell you how much i miss attending. The educatation i recieved was not book smarts it was LIFE SKILLS!!! The classes other than english, math etx. that a student took was up to them they allow you to take courses that appeal to you and your future plans. They push skills like presentation, communication, ability to adjust to growing technology. At the end of my carrer at Sterling Heights High School i was at a 3.7 GPA and headed to Oakland University well perpared compared to fellow students attending. I am planning to become active with the school even though i am no longer a student to show my support to the school that done so much for me. Also THE FAMILY i was a part of will stick forever!

My child got an excellent education in this school. Most teachers were very caring and prepared my daughter for the Big 10 college that she attends now.

I was really frustrated with my daughters experience at SHHS. It is a very ethnically-segregated school. It shouldn't matter what race you are- be proud of who you are...but don't judge others by it. We transferred her out of SHHS at the end of the semester.

I agree, this school has made my two boys into young men prepared for college. I appreciate that this is a school of choice as well. Though residing in the Utica School district my kids chose on their own to attend Sterling in the Warren Consolidated system for their activities and curriculum.
