My son really enjoys going to high school here. He has been in Stockbridge schools since Kindergarten, and loves the district. What makes me happy with the district is when in middle school, his principal told me that the goal is to have every senior in college their senior year. To me, that is a wonderful goal. Another point I like about Stockbridge Schools, is they allow Sophomores to take AP courses. So my son, who is a sophomore, is taking an AP course this year. He will be taking more next year. The teachers all seem to be really nice, and qualified in their fields. I've met most of my kids teachers, and they seem to be genuinely concerned about how well the students do in class, and some are even involved with after school activities, because of their love of working with the kids.

Top in the area, with kind and caring administrators. Teachers tend to be young and well-prepared to lead. Two of our children have graduated from SHS, and have received great scholarships to attend state universities. Parents are welcome to become involved in many areas.

The SHS Band program, while small, is extremely effective. Likewise, the physical education department teaches more than jumping jacks, gets into theory of fitness and anatomy. Art and language offerings are also exceptional. Academically, many SHS seniors graduate to attend major universities, with full scholarships--always a good sign when seeking quality education.
