Swartz Creek Middle School

I went to Swartz Creek Middle School for 6th and 7th grades, and finally switched schools for 8th. I had gone to SC schools since Kindergarten, but the middle school was awful. They dumped all 5 elementaries into one place, so you hardly knew anyone, and the bullying was TERRIBLE and rarely addressed. It was an extremely stressful enviroment, and many of the teachers had an attitude as though they thought they were teaching college level students and forgot we were just children, and scared. They need to revamp their entire system.

Swartz Creek Middle and High schools lack discipline for kids. I cannot believe how much goes on at this school, where our kids are supposed to be in a safe learning environment. There are a handful of very caring teachers(Mr, Suchanek, Ms Francis, Ms. Kish, and Ms Benn, to name few) and the rest of the staff here at the middle school, have a very negative attitude toward the children. In all honesty, I cannot wait to get my kids out of this school system!

Swartz Creek schools have excellent k - 5 schools. But have problems when it comes to the middle school and high school levels. It may be because they are over crowded and in desperate need of newer and bigger buildings. There is a problem with drugs among a small group of kids, but not as widespread as some people would like to believe.
