Teacher quality
Principal leadership
Parent involvement
My three daughters all graduated from Light and Life and did extremely well in college. I feel that they received an excellent education and also had the advantage of participating in extracurricular.
My son graduated from Light and Life and we were extremely pleased at the type of education he received there. We feel he was prepared well for college. He had chapel each week and the Bible classes helped him grow. He enjoyed being involved in sports and in school plays. I was disappointed in the lack of parental involvement among high school parents. This is a good school and I would highly recommend it!
I love this school. I am a student who would not change anything about this school. I have grown up at this school. My friends are great Christian influences and I love the teachers.
This school has very strict rules. The students there are nice, and the teachers are good, but the discipline and lack of funding was a major problem. That is why I quit going to the school, and went back to public school.
After two years of having our children at LLCS, my wife and I both agree that enrolling them at LLCS was the best decision we could have made.
My child just started ad Light and Life tis year, after leaving an horrible experience at a public school. L and L has been amazing the leadership is wonderful and caring ,The Principal never fails to adress my concerns right away. And Mrs Hamann is a dream come true. The support staff is professional, and helpful. The children k thru 12 all are charming good kids. The love of Jesus and his love shines there.
I am a Light and Life amumni and still frequently go back to the school and visit the teachers and see where I can best help out. I am very glad that my parents made the sacrifice to allow me to attend this school to get a Christian education. The teachers were amazing and didn't just teach academics, but taught me how to be a better person through their examples. When I get to the point in my life where I am having children; the only option for their education will be Light and Life Christian School. ~SMS
I have had four children graduate from Light and Life and I have been extremely happy with the quality of education (all have gone on to college) and the care and compassion of faculty and staff. I would highly recommend this school to any parent who desires a Christian education.
Have had all my children attend Light and Life. I have been very pleased. It is not a perfect school, but I don't have perfect kids either! The school works hard at parent-teacher communication. This is its 30th year and going strong.
Teachers really care about students here. I have a son in the fourth grade and have had a good experience at light and life. No everything is not perfect, ive had concerns that i have submitted to the administration and was pleased to see them acted upon. Don't complain , speak up. School is consantly looking for ways to improve. New playground this year. Every classroom has been repainted and updated. Every classroom has a computer that is on the internet. A new computer lab with 20 stations all on the internet. New staff with a fresh vision has also been a welcome. Every year i review if this is the place for my son and return here as i can see no better alternative. A hot lunch program would be nice. they are adding resources for parents to the web page. Daily homework updates and downloadable forms.
Great school for discipline and holds the student & parents accountable for all their actions. Curriculum is tough, but causes students to push their academics to a higher level. New teachers this year and lots of new changes.
It is a great school, the teachers in the k thru 5 grade are the best! They truley care about our children, I would recomend this school to any one. I'm sure the 6 thru the 12th grade is awesome too. I'll let you know next year.
I would say that this school, if big changes are not made is destined to fail. They have poor quality teaching and there discipline policy is closer to that of a military school. Its obvious by there detention policy that its just not working for them. I would say they need a change in administration. They focus on sports but not academics. I would not recommend this school to christian parents.
They need to have more social activities for the high school children. They also need a hot lunch program.
